![]() Some printmakers will print with a sheet of plywood between the paper and the top roller but this is best on larger presses where you can raise the roller higher. You can experiment with card instead of a blanket, a rubber sheet, or a sheet of blotter inserted between the printing paper and the blanket. If you are going to print more than one colour and need accurate registration then embossing can be a hindrance. This works well on single colour prints and is also an aesthetic consideration. We are printing here with just the blanket and you will see we get some embossing. You will need to insert your blanket and decide whether you want anything between your blanket and the printing paper. Of course, an actual print will be the final indication that correct pressure has been set.īefore you do this you will need to secure your runners to the press bed, masking tape will suffice. Doing a ‘blind’ print will allow you to inspect any marks left indented in the paper, a good indicator of how much pressure you have and whether you want to adjust it. Before you start printing you can check that the pressure is adequate and even by running your block through before you ink it up. This press has no gauge for calibrating, in fact for most presses, except the very large, calibration is best done by feel and by test printing. Four-post design means open side for easy loading of long material. Rugged Uprights, 50 per cent stronger than channel iron.Fast Cylinder Approach to work provided by 2-speed hand, air or electric pumps.Hose on spring return cylinders on heavy-duty hydraulic presses provides up to six times faster cylinder return than standard 1/4" I.D. The self-locking winch mechanism prevents the bed from dropping when the handle is released. The winch unit quickly raises or lowers the bed to the desired height. 24-volt hand switch for remote control on pumps equipped with solenoid valves. Externally adjustable relief valve for precise operator control of working pressure is standard on all electric pumps, except PE10 and PE17 series. CE Rated electric pumps are standard on all presses. Electric, Air Or Hand Hydraulic Pumps are available.Frames Can Be Used Horizontally for pressing jobs on extra-long shafts.Open Throat Feature on the 25-ton press provides additional work area by mounting the cylinder on the outside for C-frame advantage.Close Manufacturing Tolerance allows even load distribution over four alloy steel pins not two, like some competitors.Alignment Lever for simple pin replacement after raising or lowering the bed on the hydraulic press.Larger Work Area than most competitors' models.Full Rated Capacity across the width of the upper frame, even with work-head moved to one side.Single or double-acting cylinders are available built-in relief valve on double-acting cylinders.
